Sell a collection

Before you send your trade-in

All trade-in requests are reviewed first. We’ll confirm whether we can accept your items and arrange postage or pickup before you send anything. Your final trade-in value will be confirmed after inspection.

Initial approval is permission to send your items, not a guaranteed final price. Final valuation happens after inspection.

Melbourne pickup & delivery

Based in Melbourne’s western suburbs, we offer local delivery and trade-in pickups across Melbourne by arrangement, subject to availability. Contact us with your suburb and details of your order or trade-in so we can confirm availability, timing and any fees. If we can’t make it out to you, we can discuss postage options instead.

All regions welcome. Have a shelf of games or a few consoles to trade? Send your list and photos for a manual review. You don’t need to choose a grade.

Trade-in age requirement — 18+

You must be 18 or older to trade with Gameventory. If you’re under 18, a parent or legal guardian must arrange and complete the trade-in in their own name.

Do not upload identity documents with your item photos or send them by ordinary email. Contact us for identity-check instructions before posting your items.

Sign in to send your collection and attach photos securely. Your request and photos will be saved with a reference in your account.

What Gameventory inspects

Correct item and region: game title, console model, edition and region against your list.
Authenticity: original games, labels, packaging and accessories. Reproductions, counterfeits and undisclosed replacement parts are not treated as originals.
Completeness: game media, original case or box, manual and any items originally included. For consoles, we check the included cables and controllers.
Physical condition: scratches, cracks, dents, damaged labels, artwork and manuals, missing covers, corrosion, liquid damage and signs of repair or modification.
Functionality: game loading and readability; console power, display, sound, buttons, ports, drives and included controllers as applicable. Tell us if anything is untested or faulty.
Final grade and value: we assess each item after arrival. Loose, game + case and complete-in-box copies may have different values. Photos help with the initial review but don’t replace inspection.

What happens next?

We review your list and photos and contact you if we need more details.
We agree an initial offer and shipping arrangements before you post anything. Trade-in shipping is free for an agreed value over $30.
Once received, we check, clean and test your items, then explain any changes to the offer.
You choose whether to accept the final offer. We aim to pay within 1–2 business days after acceptance. If you decline, you can request return at your postage cost.

Minimum accepted trade-in: $30. No seller or trade-in processing fees.
